On teaching creative-writing during a pandemic

Dear Friends,

Many of our Simpson Fellows conducted writing workshops remotely over the past few months. It’s no small pivot to take rich, in-person experiences and deliver them virtually.

We have been deeply moved by their ability to create transformative writing communities for their students, so we asked Simpson Fellow Uttara Chaudhuri and Esme, one of her students, to share some of what they experienced.

We hope you are as inspired as we are by their stories.

Warmly,

Diane
