NewLit All Stars: A New Chapter in Community

NewLit is proud to announce the launch of NewLit All Stars—a vibrant new Alumni Association that honors the writers, educators, and leaders who have engaged in our fellowships, workshops, and prize programs.

We intend to share and promote All Star accomplishments and publications broadly. More than just a nod to the past, this initiative is a way to stay active with NewLit into the future: a way to deepen community, celebrate ongoing achievements, and continue supporting literary voices we know and love.

Why now? Because our alumni are thriving. They're publishing groundbreaking work, shaping classrooms, leading conversations—and we believe it’s time to support and spotlight their journeys in a more meaningful way. NewLit All Stars aligns seamlessly with our mission to champion literature as a living, public good by keeping our community connected, active, and inspired.

The program offers a variety of benefits, including an exclusive LinkedIn group to foster connection and collaboration, a regular All Stars feature in this newsletter, and events and gatherings—virtual and in-person—to keep the energy and creativity flowing. Whether through co-programming, mentoring, or storytelling, All Stars will play an active role in shaping the future of NewLit.

This initiative also supports our broader goals—supporting arts education, driving innovation, and expanding the long-term impact of NewLit’s work.

What’s next? We have kicked things off by launching the LinkedIn group and posting our first featured profiles. We’re also exploring regional “hubs” for informal All Star-led meetups.

NewLit All Stars is more than a network—it’s a movement. A testament to the fact that when we support great writers, their stories don’t end with us. They grow, inspire, and connect us all.

Stay tuned. The story continues—with you.
