Celebrate the 2022 Joyce Carol Oates Prize Longlist.

This week we are announcing the thirty-seven mid-career authors of fiction under consideration, distinguished writers who are emerged and still emerging. During Spring 2022, we will announce the Finalists for, and ultimately the Recipient of, the $50,000 annual prize. Programming announcements will be forthcoming. Please stay tuned along the way until we unveil our sixth prize winner.

Hello, Abby!

We are elated to welcome Abigail Donahue as our new (and inaugural) Associate Director. Abby hopped onboard a couple of weeks ago, and she immediately made a tremendous difference in so many ways. She comes to us with a rich, diverse background in nonprofit administration and the creative arts, including a significant run with the National Writing Project, where she was absolutely revered.
